Ovens, Built In / Built Under
Built in / Built under ovens are available in various styles/sizes/colours. Standard width is 60cms but models are available from 45cms to 90cms wide.
Types:
Single oven: Designed to be built in or built under, the grill is incorporated in the oven.
Twin cavity: This type has an oven & seperate grill but on some models the grill is also an oven, normal height is 70cms.
Double oven: As you would expect this type has two ovens and the grill is incorporated in the top oven. Normally classed as 90cms (actual height is usually around 87-88cms) there are versions designed to fit under your worksurface and versions to be fitted at eye level, some will do either but you must check before you buy.
Tips:
When choosing your oven always check the depth because some ovens are deeper than others, if you have water / gas pipes or anything else at the back of your fitment they will obviously reduce the available depth.
From time to time we get a phone call to say that an oven has suddenly stopped working, the first question we always ask is 'have you just cleaned it' because it is very easy to activate the auto timer without knowing you have done so when you are cleaning around the controls.
